Why Valentine’s day doesn’t completely suck

I know, the moment you read that caption, your gag reflex was triggered. Like “oh my gosh, not another V-Day advocate”.

I promise, I really am not one of them, I’d just like to think of myself as optimistic. Like maybe there’s something to this madness that has people spending a small fortune. I do however believe that retailers take us to market with the variety of V-Day spoils that become more and more with every passing year. It’s like they cannot allow us to recover from over-spending in December or that back-to-school shopping list that literally broke the bank. Although the latter doesn’t apply to me yet, I’m a part-time student. And y’all know that textbooks at varsity level is no joke. I’m already shedding a tear for the money that will be flowing out of my pocket. A love offering would be very much appreciated y’all. Thanking you in advance, hahaha!

Okay, so the reason why I say that V-Day doesn’t completely suck is because a few good musicians in the Bay has decided to put together an amazing concert called Summer Love. The band is insane and the vocalist is even more insane. I asked them what the show was about and this is what they had to say:

The concert is a romantic dinner ideal for partners celebrating their love on valentines day but also ideal for people that love to enjoy good music especially when it’s some of their favorite love songs. Some of the best love songs of all time will be performed at this concert by a talented combination of folks. Every guest has the choice of bringing their own meal, snack, or picnic basket to decorate their table with. A cash bar will be available on the night of the concert.

Doesn’t that sound amazing? Dear men in relationships; Now is your opportunity to make up for not planning any date nights for the year yet because Jan-worry. For the singles, this might be a great idea for you to mingle your way into a relationship or just have a really good time listening to some good music.
